About the Program
The Youth Career Accelerator in Health is a 5-day immersive workshop designed to help young people navigate and build careers in the rapidly evolving health sector.
Organized by the Empower School of Health, Geneva, in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), this initiative brings together global expertise, real-world exposure, and structured learning in the heart of Geneva, Switzerland.
Set within the unique ecosystem of International Geneva—home to leading UN agencies, global health institutions, NGOs, and innovation hubs—the program offers participants direct access to the environments where global health decisions are shaped and implemented.
Through a combination of expert-led sessions, site visits, and practical learning experiences, the workshop enables participants to:
- Explore diverse career pathways across global health, public health, digital health, and pharmaceutical sectors
- Understand how health systems function across policy, implementation, and innovation
- Build essential skills required for future-ready health careers
- Engage with professionals and institutions shaping global health outcomes
This program goes beyond traditional learning by providing real-world exposure, global networks, and career clarity, empowering participants to make informed decisions and actively contribute to the future of health.
