The PSM Competency Assessment Tool (CAT) tool has been developed by Empower to assess PSM capacity development needs of staff working in public health organizations for Chemonics to implement across 3 countries (Rwanda, Nigeria and Zambia). The assessment is built on a framework adapted from the People that Deliver (PtD) framework for supply chain competency mapping (“PtD Competency Compendium for Health Supply Chain Management: A reference for health supply chain; First edition”). The tool is designed as a self-administered questionnaire sought to gather information regarding personal details, educational qualifications, work experience, soft skills, professional orientation and PSM domain competency.
The main goal for this training was to equip the Senior Managers of the Ministries of Health and SC technical staff of the Ministries of Health (MOHCDGEC, PORALG and MSD) on the basic fundamentals of leadership and transformation in supply chain management.
